With your personal computer that has windows whether it is xp o7 vista the web cam comes in a design that it may be able to be controlled with all this programs this is mainly because whenever you are outside and you need to use your web cam, then should u have your laptop for this purpose it should really work cause simply by connecting your web cam to your laptop and start using it as web cam you can be able to vie w different places in the house while you are outside,so the web cam can actually be controlled by different windows programs.

You need to have a program that will use the webcam. What are you trying to do...i'm having trouble understanding why you'd want to use the webcam if you don't have a program to use it with. Programs such as Skype, MSN, Yahoo Messenger, etc should all support your webcam.

i seriously doubt it . win 7 is nothing like vista (vista was a huge waste of time for everyone) there are drivers for xp NT vista but not for win 7. do it the easy way .. plug it in and see if win 7 recognises it

If it is, check the web cam manufacturer's website for Windows 7 drivers. If there are not Windows 7 drivers available, try the Vista drivers. If the web cam does not have drivers available, you can contact the manufacturer and ask if drivers will ever be available for Windows 7. If you decide you need to purchase a new web cam, you can browse compatible web cams in the Compatibility Center and choose which is best for you. Hope this helps!
