    Q. Does the insurance pays when the house burns down?

When you sign an insurance contract with a company they will send some investigators to evaluate you house`s worth and goods. If your house burns down the insurance will pay for your loss after another evaluation. The investigation must prove that the fire was an accident and was not cause by you or by your negligence regarding known issues that could have led to a fire hazard. Leo Collins

    Q. If your house burns down insurance pays you?

YOUR INSURANCE OR RATHER YOUR INSURER WILL NOT CANCEL YOUR HOUSE INSURANCE IF THE HOUSE BURNS DOWN. THINK ABOUT IT, WHY WOULD INSURANCE CANCEL THE POLICY. THERE ARE HERE TO MAKE MONEY. THEY HAVE SO CALLED POOLING FUNDS FROM MANY ENSURED ENTITIES IN ORDER TO PAY RELATIVELY UNCOMMON BUT SEVERELY DEVASTATING LOSSES WHICH CAN OCCUR. LIKE HOUSE FIRE. KELLY RICHARDSON

    Q. Does the insurance pays when your house is burned?

This depends on you contract with the insurance company. people who make insurances for their house usually cover the fire incidents, but I can`t tell for sure if it`s your case. If you have it covered, just proceed by sending them your claim and they will come back to you with their own investigation on the facts. If everything looks ok to them, they will cover all or part of your loss, depending, again, on the type of your insurance. John Russel

    Q. My long term insurance pays $100 a day increasing by 5% per year what will it pay after 15 years?

You did not specify simple or compound. That will be an option when you purchase your Long Term Care policy. Your daily benefit using simple after 15 years will be $175.00 If you compound the daily benefit the amount will be $207.89 When you are comparing the cost of these options you will note the additional premium is significantly higher for the compounded increase.

    Q. How long do i have to get my car fixed after insurance pays?
do most insurance companies have a time limit after they pay a claim on a auto accident on when you have to have repairs done? i have a high deductable and am between jobs right now, so i am going to have to wait a while before i can pay my part of the repair bill. i should add the insurance check will be made out to the repair shop, so i will have to have it fixed. also, i live in mississippi and the insurance company is southern farm bureau.

In Texas it is 10 days after the settlement (my dad just actually told me that about 2 mins ago)... but your lucky they'll even fix your car, mines a total loss, and it isn't even that bad, I guess airbags, a new radiator, and a new bumper and hood is just too much for Allstate to expense on my part. But ask your insurance person, or call a diff agency and just ask them.

    Q. How long does a car need to be missing before the insurance company pays out?
car was stolen yesterday and the insurance company will not issue a courtesy car until it is recovered. i am fully comprehensive, is this right?

Rental should be available to your 48 hrs after the theft. (AAA) As far as settlement, it really depends on the type of vehicle that is stolen. If it's a high risk vehicle as in a Honda Accord, Lexus, Acura they should settle quickly. These types of vehicle are stolen quite often and normally go straight to chop shops. We would settle claims for these types in 7-10 days and I'll tell you maybe 1 or 2 were ever located....(Calif.). Any other vehicle sometimes 15-20 days tops.

    Q. My 86 yr. mom is in a nursing home. long term care pays for 2 yrs. what do we do to qualify her for medicaid?
she has some assets, but not enough to continue paying for the nursing home on her own. what do we do with her assets, so she will qualify for medicaid when the two years that are paid by long term insurance are up? she has a house and some money in the bank, but it costs $160 a day in the nursing home. we don't understand how medicaid works and if they take all her assets which she worked hard for and would like to leave to her children. any help would be appreciated, especially from personal experience. we are planning to see an attorney who specializes in elder issues. the state we live in is texas. for the person who said our tax dollars will go to pay her bill. she also paid taxes and so did my dad as we all do. he did not utilize medicaid and if we don't that should be our share. we do not want to get our hands on her money. we want to do the right thing for her and what she wants. my mother has first stage alzheimers disease, so needs to be in a facility where she can be taken care of 24 hours a day. one more question. when all her assets are gone and she has to apply for medicaid, will she be able to stay in the nursing home where she is now. it specializes in different stages of alzheimers disease or will she have to move to a government faciltiy?

It seriously depends on the state in which you are living in. Medicaid laws very from state to state. Hopefully, your Grandma has a trust and will in place. Things to have ready for the attorney. Life Insurance Policy info, Trust/Will info, Hopefully, your grandma has most of her liquid money in an annuity at the bank. Lookback periods vary from state to state meaning, even if she was to give everything to the kids now, the government will see that she did that and get it back to pay for her medical bills. If she lives in florida, Her Home and Primary vehicle do not count as assets. Florida has a 5 year lookback period. Review the Long term Care policy as well...Just because it says two years...it doesn't always mean it stops after two years...if she has a $200 per day policy and it's only costing $160 per day..it will last longer than two years...review the policy with the company that sold it to her. You can also ask the agent that sold it to her, what the laws are concerning medicaid...he/she will know as well. Just checking back in. Sorry to hear about the condition your mom is in...Once the state drains all her assets it will make sure that your mom is in an institution if that is the wish of the family and it will be paid by medicaid. The worst part about that is, those places are staffed by like, 1 nurse to every 20 patients and they are cared for in order of need. If someone is having a worse problem then another..that 2nd person will just have to wait. It's not a good scenario at all, but it's the best the gov will offer. That's why it's very important as you now see to make sure you are ready to retire. Did you check and see what the benefits were for her current LTC policy? Like I said..it could last longer than 2 years. Don't forget to contact her agent! Also some contracts allow you a Gaurentee that you can increase your benefits every three years without providing proof of insurability. Check into it!! And don't listen to the nut under me...I understand what you are saying...you just didn't know if that's what actually happened in a medicaid situation..not that you wanted to screw over your fellow man. Checking back in again... If the Nursing home she is staying in accepts medicaid..she will probably stay there...If not..she will be given the first bed available in the state..which could be anywhere..she or the family have very little say so once she is on medicaid.

    Q. How do you work with long term insurance companies?
i own an in-home elderly care agency, however, due to the fact that the services are expensive, most clients can't pay out of pocket, so i need to begin billing their long term care insurance company. i'm wondering, what is the process to begin working and getting paid from long term insurance companies?

Not many people have long term care insurance and they certainly can't buy it when they already need it. Try contacting some of the major players, such as Metlife and Hartford and ask them.

    Q. How long does it take for auto insurance to pay out for no-fault accident?
hello - i was involved in an auto-accident in march of 2006 in which both insurance companies (mine and hers) agreed that it was the other party's fault and i was a zero-liability. their insurance company (let's call them "venus", of ease) has asked for receipts ($1000 in rentals which my coverage does not cover), my deductible amount and any other amount which i had to put out (total is about $1,700). i have waited since april for them to pay me. i get letters from "venus" every other week saying they are "pending further investigation" - but, i am at wits-end and want my money which i had to pay-out for an accident that everyone acknowledges is not my fault. does anyone know what the law/rules are in california and how long they can take to pay after they find the other party is at fault? also, what can i word in a strongly worded letter to get this finally paid. i dont want to hire lawyer for such a low amount - but, that extra 1700 sure would be nice at the moment. thanks! chris btw, ive called, faxed and sent letters - i just get the same "pending investigation" bs. my insurance company is waiting to get paid out also for all the damages. i just wonder if there is some statute that i can cite in a certified letter to them which demands they pay the 1700 now. otherwise, my own insurance says to take them to small claims - and, who has time for that? i've called, faxed, emailed - you name it - but, i just want to cite some law and need help with a strongly worded approach to make them pay this . it will be a year in march/april since they've accepted liability for their client's fault.

Have you contacted your insurance company again? You pay them to protect you from companies like this. You should let them know what is going on, if needed, and you have full coverage they should pay out to you and go after the other persons insurance company in court if needed. If this does not work contact the California department of Insurance to report this company, they should help you.

    Q. How much do you pay for long term health insurance? and who do you have it with?
my mom is 59 years old and in relatively good health. i am thinking about getting long term health care insurance for her. i know this varies per person and situation but i am trying to get a feel on how much this stuff usually costs without having to fill out a bunch of random online quotes on the internet. any information you can give me is helpful. thanks.

Call or visit a local independent agent. This person can search the market in your area and give you a general idea of what the premium would be for the benefits she wants. They don't charge you any extra for the service and will be there as a local "go to" person when you have questions about the policy.
