There isn`t a trash can on the ipod for deleting them directly, it has to be done through iTunes. Hook up your iPod to your computer, go to the Photos tab. If you want to clear everything out then the best thing to do is to `sync photos from` an empty folder. Once the sync happens it will delete everything.

hi there well i think you must attach you ipod with the computer system and delete the unwanted material. another way is to go to ipod gallery and select the video from it. and select the videos you want to delete.

Upgrade to 4.1 and go into photos, find a photo and press the bottom in the bottom left and choose set to home screen

I don`t think there`s any way of turning it off other than quitting the application or process that may be using it, and mores the pity! I`d much prefer if it had a shutter, safer that way. It could just be a bug in some app, or a hardware flaw in your MacBook; but just to err on the side of paranoia - if I were you, the next time the light comes on by itself, I`d open Activity Monitor (in /Applications/Utilities), select "My Processes" from the list at the top, then click Export. You now have a list of the running processes, one of which is likely to be using the iSight. You could post that list here, if you like, to see if anyone obviously stands out. What processes could be using it when I am restarting? The green light comes on right when I turn it on. Next time it does it I will look in the applications and post it here. Thank you!

You will first need to load the "Photos" app: either tap on the Photos icon on one of your Home screens (the button with the sunflower image, as shown on the screenshot), or click twice on the Home button to search for "photos" in the text field. Your iPad will open your photo galleries, with the "unclassified" pictures selected by default. If the picture you want to delete is in a particular album, tap on the "Albums" button at the top and open that album. Otherwise, flick with two fingers to scroll up or down in the "Photos" listing: newest images are displayed at the bottom, and the oldest one at the top. Once you have found the photo to remove, tap on the selection button: Now tap once on the picture to delete, and your iPad will display a blue checkmark icon in overlay, to confirm your selection. Finally, tap on the "Delete (1)" button that appeared at the top, and is now enabled (was grayed out, or disabled, until you selected at least one image). The number one (1) shown between parentheses is your iPad`s way to tell you that one image file is currently selected. Your iPad will display a final "Delete Photo" red confirmation button: tap on it, and the selected picture will be permanently removed from your Photos gallery. I`ve recently ran into this issue when trying to finally set up an avatar for all of my social networks/userid`s. I knew that Skype would let you take screenshots of yourself if you have a camera: Tools > Options > General > video settings > Take a video snapshot however I couldn`t really use the image on anything else but Skype since I didn`t know where skype saved pics. I`d rather have the same avatar across the board so I did a little research. Here is how to find your Skype images on your computer. First Make sure you can see hidden files and folders. To check this you will have to go to Control Panel > Folder Options > Click on the View Tab > Under the Hidden files and folders section make sure that > Show hidden files, folders, and drives is selected. I don`t think the iPad will allow you to delete photos that you synced through iTunes. The trash icon disappears, at least for me.
