Why can't i put music on my ipod nano 5th gen? my friend gave me her i pod nano 5th generation, the one with the video camera, and when i plugged it in it told me i had to authorize the computer, or i had to clear the songs on my i pod, so i deleted everything, and i still can't put anything on the i pod, the only way i can do anything is if i sync it, but i don't want to constantly sync my i pod all the time. and i can't play my songs off it when it's plugged in my computer. How can i fix my ipod nano 5th gen from being slow? i bought the ipod nano 16gb 5th generation a month ago and when i got it it was normal. i recorded a lot of videos and put music into it. i actually recoreded a little more than 200 videos and i thought that was the cause of it. i deleted most of the videos, i only have 20 and my ipod is still so slow. it takes like a minute to pick a song. i've tried defragmenting it and it still didnt work. i can't restore it because i can't back up any of the memory on it. I'm using 6.9g of space on my ipod nano 5th gen and only have 803 songs! no video, games, ect ect. whats wrong? i cant figure it out i dont have alot of doubles (only 8) and no games (other than the 3 that come on it and cant be deleted) or video or apps! i have found people with 650 songs and they are only using 2.6g of space. plz help me figure this out as i am lost. You need to go to you preferences in iTunes and make sure you have your music set at like 128Kbps. This should get you more songs per GB. Though it wont change the amount of GB being used now. It will only help you in the future. With my 8GB Zune i was able to put 1250 songs, 10 music videos and 200 pictures. My brothers 4GB Zune has 700 songs, 4 music videos and a few pics. Most of the files are MP3, so i would suggest changing to MP3. All this can be handled under Preferences Votes: 0
