Tim.lopez | "Bad sushi can be known by the taste..."
bad sushi can be known by the taste, smell but also by how things around it are affected. Salad leaves will wilt, meats will start to turn also because of the bacteria in the sushi. It will also start to weep as the bacteria produced from its decomposition start to multiply.
actually, I wouldn`t eat sushi the next day even. It`s best eaten fresh and right away , it is Too much risk.

 Q. How do sushi restaurants get their sushi inland and still keep it fresh? i'm from california and i'm in new mexico right now. i seen a sushi restaurant out here; i was wondering how do places like these keep sushi fresh? do they ship the fish alive? i heard you are not supposed to freeze sushi grade fish, so how do they do it?
It's frozen of course. Why bother with that crap when local fish is much better.

 Q. How can i keep sushi fresh overnight? if i make sushi in the evening, how can i keep it fresh for the following afternoon. i will be out during the day and need to do it the night before.
i plan to make veggie sushi with avocado and cucumber, maybe scalions.
"Sushi is delicious..."
Sushi is delicious, how ever it has some serious problems about keeping fresh. Even over night in your crisper covered by a plate or a paper towel, the fish will become soggy & sick.
I buy Sushi all the time, and I keep mine very fresh just by packaging it in an air tight tupper wear container.
:) Good luck!

 Q. If you take sushi to school, how do you keep it fresh until lunch time? i like sushi and took it to school once. luckily, i go to middle college (classes on a college campus basically) and i get picked up by the bus at 10:56. lunch is when we arrive, but since the ride is half an hour, the sushi became warm and so it wasn't as good. how do people keep sushi fresh until lunch time, especially at normal schools?
Use cooling bags like this one shown below:

Or use cooling lunch boxes:

 Q. How to keep sushi fresh? my sister in-law is getting married in 4 hours and they ordered sushi and the place they ordered it from said they can refrigerate it but now they tell us we cant and the sushi is already made so we have to pick it up.. how do we keep the sushi fresh?
we asked and it cant be keeped fresh in the fridge
if it is kept in the fridge the rice will go hard
"Yummy..im eating sushi right now..."
yummy..Im eating sushi right now! My best advise is to leave them in room temputure. a lot of people say to leave it in an refridgerator but dont! The rice will get very hard and the fish inside will become hard and very cold (fish tastes so bad when its very cold).
Happy sushi,
~Sabrina K.~

"At a hotel with a sushi bar..."
While the other 2 have your best interest at heart, a piece of fish properly stored and wrapped will last a few days, I am not an expert, but I did work in Japan, at a hotel with a sushi bar, and am a sort of a classically trained chef for over 20+ years and did work in Jamaica, Japan, Singapore and in Canada were I am from, while it will not last forever it is fresh and wrapped in plastic and in a container on a middle shelf it is fine until tomorrow.

 Q. How to conserve soft and fresh the prepacked sushi? i´m plannig to sell sushi in stores and have noticed that some brands has their sushi rice soft and fresh 3 or 5 days after alaboration. how they do that?
mine turns dry and hard after 1 day.
who? hundreds of people daily. you should check up at the 7 eleven near your office.
"I don't know who would eat 2-3 day old sushi..."
I don't know who would eat 2-3 day old sushi. Why would you want to follow in a company's footsteps who would allow what is supposed to be a fresh product to sit on the shelves and have the raw fish age over 3 days. Yuck!
