You people are as dumb as dirt. You do realize that you are borrowing money through these companies at APR`s as high as 138%? That means for every $2,500 you borrow your paying back $10,700. Answer me this..if you people need to borrow $2,500..how the hell are you going to pay back $10,700?! The answer is you won`t. You`ll just default on it and say the company who gave it to you was a scam because your too broke to pay it back. What is this world coming too?

I recently came into a situation where I needed to borrow money in a pinch. I started with Citifinancial, then my own bank, and after being denied a third time from another local bank I looked into getting my loan elsewhere. I have decent credit, yet circumstances of losing my job, getting a new job, but not having a long history with the company and half of my income not being eligible to the bank since it was "Commission" based disqualified me from an otherwise affordable loan. I make $6k/month, but only have $3k eligible according to the banks...139% of course is not a good deal to begin with, however it is much better than some of the other payday firms I shopped around with. Some listed rates upwards of 633%. The reasoning behind this is a payday loan will be paid off by your next payday. The only way these lenders can make a decent profit is by charging this much over such a short time. The difference in Western Sky is they take advantage of the payday loan market and advertise an APR much less than most of the payday lenders out there. Hoping the consumer won`t understand compounding interest and set you up on a 24 or 36 month payment plan. If you are going to utilize Western Sky for a loan, you have to A) Intend on paying it back before the first payment is due B) Have the means to pay it back before the first interest payment C) Qualify for the $2600...if you take the $1500 and give up the $500 upfront, you are just an idiot. Western Sky was a reasonable solution because they are cheaper than the payday firms as long as you pay them back before the first payment is due. If you end up in their payment cycle, you will pay only $6 per $298.00 monthly payment. If you take it to term you will pay over $10k. So do the math. $75 around $9.50/day to carry the loan. I paid $181.00 for a $2525.00 loan. This is better than what I get at my local pawn shop traiding in a guitar I`ve had since I was 8. I won`t let that go and I won`t get in deep with a payday lender either. You see the Truth-in-Lending statement up front and it shows you exactly what you are getting into. The representative will tell you over and over again to payoff the loan as quickly as possible. Yet the company of course, hopes you fall into the pitfall of interest. Something else to take note of is that if approved, it is likely that your loan will be funded by CashCall. I`m uncertain if this is a subsidiary or if they are a completely independent operation. CashCall is based out of Cali, so I would assume that once the loan is sold, the documents you signed to not take Western Sky Financial to court don`t apply. (Unless they actually are a subsidary as stated in the contract) Think of it like you would if you were buying a home...@ 6% APR a $150k home over a 30 year term will see approx $150k in interest payments. So for someone that pays only the minimum on their mortgage for 30 years will pay $300k for a $150k home. Lending in general takes advantage of the consumer, because we have become an instant gratification society. We want it now, have to have it now, and will pay an arm and a leg to have it NOW.

and they do offer a 24 month alternative where the if you borrow $1000.00 dollars the payment is lowere for 24 months and you wind up paying about $4000.00. Yes it is extremely high but if you ahve bad credit and no other choice and need money to say pay your rent or mortgage so you ahve a goddamn roof over youir head then who are you people to judge? you think we want to borrow at this rate? Some of us have had jobs loss or hours cut and this is better than being homeless and not knowing if you can pay the gas bill to have heat. Obviously the people who want to flame someone have no frickin clue what financial uncertainty feels like.

If you borrow $2500.. that DOES NOT automatically mean that you will pay back $10,000. That only applies if it takes you the FULL three years to payback the loan. Theses types of loans are only suited for folks who need emergency cash for whatever reason and they plan to pay it back fairly quickly. Chances are they don`t have good credit and therefore they cant get financing through traditional channels. If thats the case.. then theres nothing wrong with getting a loan from Western Sky.. as long as you can payback the loan pretty quickly. DBG
