it was a rumer that today 9/7/09 Apple would give a preview of the new ipods...but no new news yet. Also that they would be available 9/9/09 but also thats another rumer. Hopefully its true though cuz i need an ipod. hope i helped

According to one of our reliable source (however, it remains a rumor), Apple is facing problems with the production of the new iPod Touch. The issue would be linked to the new camera module. We did not get any further details, but the problem has been spotted in the first dozen of thousands units produced. Those units have been put aside. We do not know if the problem has been solved in the meantime. In any case, the iPod Touch availability would be delayed and initial volumes reduced. If the problem has not been solved yet, then the updated iPod Touch might be significantly delayed.

Hi, It's not "officially" true that there will be a new iPod touch with a camera in it (or iPod nano ), but for the past few years, Apple has held iPod conferences in September, introducing the next generation models for the holiday season. Anyway, there have been many rumors that the next generation iPod touch will have a camera (and possibly a microphone!). There are also rumors about an iPod nano with a camera too, and normally when there are this many rumors, it turns out to be true. So in conclusion, while it's not "true", I think it will be.

From what I have heard Yes. Sometime after September 8th. If you look at the Apple Website they are giving away an iPod Touch when you purchase a Mac and the Promotion Ends on September 8th . So it looks like they are clearing inventory for whatever they have left.

the new gens of ipods has already came out. the shuffles were released a few months ago, the nano got larger capacity and a video camera, the Classics were upgraded to 160 gigs, and the Touch was upgraded to 32 and 64 gigs, eliminating the 8 and 16 gigs. they wont be changing the look of the iPods any time soon, just the capacities

all you have to do to check is go to apple.com or safari and the have all the info nobody knows for sure. There are rumors it will have a camera, microphone, FM radio, and larger capacity. Nobody knows except probably steve jobs. Yes, but no ones knows. Here is a hint, why don't you look it up on apple.com instead of asking people here. Way easier and makes you look way less lazy yeah it is supposed to come out in Sept. and is rumored to have a camera because the silicone covers that have been shown for the 3g touches have a hole where a camera lens would be. It could possibly have a microphone, but I don't think there is any evidence to support it yet.
