Buy the ipod touch 3g or wait until spring 2010 for the 4th gen? please read this first: i know that the ipod touch 3g just came out a few months ago but i also heard that the 4g is coming out spring 2010 not september. they usually release ipod touches every september but i also heard that apple was gonna put a camera on the 3g but there was something wrong so they took it out and decided to put in on the 4g...
spring is getting really close so if i buy a 3g now, i might regret buying it when the 4g comes out...
...but im not sure if the 4g really is hitting the shelves spring 2010 or not.

Those URLs all include the word "rumour" because that's all they are. None of this comes from Apple, I wouldn't (and don't) trust it.
Get the 3G if you want it, or wait 'til spring in hopes that a 4G is released, your pick.

Q. What is so great about the ipod touch? 10 pts? okay well i have been thinking about buying an ipod touch lately, i was going to put off buying the ipod touch until spring 2010 because i heard rumors that the ipod touch would be getting a camera.
but now i want to buy one this friday because since it's black friday, walmart will have a good deal on it ( ipod touch 8gb 3gen $195 with a $50 itunes giftcard) but i'm still not sure if i should buy it or not.
i'm kinda torn between buying the ipod touch and the ipod nano since the nano has a video camera. i think i might be able to toughen it out and just buy the ipod touch.
1-is the ipod touch really as great as people say it is?
2-what types of apps can you get on it?
3- how's the wi-fi internet on it?
4-is it worth $200?
5-what would you buy? itouch or nano?

well, i just happen to have an ipod touch:D
I think that they are AWESOME!!! Here are some of the hing that they can do:
>You can first of all get online if you are in a wifi zone and for example get on face book, check your email, go on google, and so forth. It comes in handy, its like a pocket laptop:)
>There is also a calender on the i-touch that lets you set alarms and plan of course.
>ALSO, you can save peoples #'s and addresses in your contacts in case you suddenly need them
>You can check the market/stocks.
>There is a map that lets you search for a destination and get directions.
>you can check the weather.
>You can listen to voice memos (you cannot record them unless you have a speaker)
>You can write notes, if you are somewhere and there is no paper and u need to write down something important.
>There is a clock that lets you look at the world clock, set an alarm,use a stopwatch, or set a timer.
>There is a calculator.
>Itunes & the app store.
Those are all of the things that a normal 2nd generation ipod tough comes with. Here are some things that you can download onto it:
>You can download pictures, and play with the special effects if you download the "Color Splash" app
>You can download "Text plus" which allows you to text people on their phones (as long as you have wifi)
>you can download google earth and look at the world from outerspace, and search a specific address.
>you can download a background app that lets you search free backgrounds and use them on your ipod.
>You can down load a piano on your ipod.
>You can also download a similar version of guitar hero on your ipod, but with out the guitar:)
and etc.
There are so many things that you can do with an ipod touch! If you plan on purchasing one, i reccomend that you purchase it on the apple.com store, they give you a good guarantee, and a free laser engraving (that comes in handy if you ever loose it) And they have free shipping.

Q. Does anybody know exactley or close if the ipod touch 4th gen comes w/a cam and how much will it be? i want to buy 1 w/ a cam like the ipod nano. like the 32gb ipod touch 4th gen if they have one. i mean like the release date is it true if its round febuary - april 2010?

It won't be out in February, more like September. Whether or not it will have a camera remains to be seen but I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't. FYI: the Nano has a video recorder. It can't take still pictures. People complain about that. People complain about the camera and video on the iPhone. If you want a camera, just buy a camera.

Q. Walmart electronic return/exchange policy help ?!? ok so i bought a new ipod nano 8g for $152 from walmart on march/7/2010. i really dont like the nano and want to buy a touch. i still have the receipt. the ipod is still new with no scratches at all and its packed in its original packing. its sealed. its june/11/2010 now so its been almost 3 months since i bought the nano so can i still exchange it for a touch ? what do u guys think? i mean ,walmart only has to put it back on the shelf coz its in sale able condition..plus i wanna exchange it not return it..
Nope. Walmart's exchange/return period on electronics is 14 days.

Radio shack warranty question? i bought an ipod nano in 2007, i also bought a warranty for it and its still good till 2010! it says you can return it for an exchange of a gift card, get it fixed for any kind of damage, and so on.. but i was wondering can i return it for a gift card now, even though i bought it in 2007? because i want to get the gift card and use it for an ipod touch!! do you think they will let me do this? im going there tomorrow to see, but im so excited i was just wondering now!! :) thank you for all who answers!
i currently have it sent out being fixed for the 2nd time, because the first time they made it worse than it was(made the screen crooked, the top was popping completely off, it wouldnt even turn on), so when i get it back and if its still messed up then i cant ask for a return(gift card)? or can i?
no, the will send it out for repair, i work @ radioshack, we have to send it for repair 1st, if its more expensive to fix than to replace it then we will do that.
