i've been reading about a lot of rumors about how apple may release a new ipod touch during the spring of 2010, and supposedly it's basically adding that little video camera that they said they didn't add during the last upgrade because of technical problems. so how likely is it that they would release it this early? i've been pretty use to the fact that they keep releasing new ipods during september, but could the release of the ipad come with the release of a new ipod?

Umn, I don't think Apple is going to go off their schedule. This September will be the month. Anyways if they did release the iPod Touch now, it would cut into the iPad sales. Dude Apple wants money, that's why they don't have a camera on an iPod Touch, because they want you to spend the extra cash on an iPhone. A few things you could see in the next gen iPod touch is, a faster CPU (the iPads is 1GHz [1000MHz] and the current iPod Touch 3rd Gens is 600MHz. So you might see the 4th Gen have to same CPU (probably underclocked though) as the iPad. (800-1000MHz). The iPad also has 512MB of RAM, so possibly the new iPod Touch will have this (the current gen has 256MB). And last Toshiba announced that they have 64GB flash memory chips (the 64GB iPod Touch uses two 32GB chips), which means Apple could go as high as 128GB (two 64GB chips) in their next gen iPod Touches. And dont really trust rumors, the only way I know this stuff is because of how companies work. Since releasing the iPad, it would only make since to use most of the components from the iPad in the new iPod Touch.

my birthday is coming up in a couple of weeks, and i've got to tell my parents what i want for my birthday! i've been planning to get an ipod touch since last summer, but now with the new ipod nano that came out, i've been so interested in it! they come in colors, there's a video camera, the screen is big, there's fm radio, etc. for the ipod touch, i really want one too, because first of all, there's wi-fi, which i really like because you're connected to the internet, and social networks. also, everything is touchable, so that's fun and the screen is, well, obviously, the biggest, out of all ipods. i go on road-car trips a lot during the holidays and the long weekends so that's why i took the nano into consideration, because it is more portable. i have the nano 3g at the moment, and it's pretty small, so that's good. but, if i got a touch, i could talk to my friends on it, go on facebook, twitter, myspace, etc. plus, there's really cool apps out there. there is one thing i'm very scared about and that's if a new ipod touch comes out soon, as you know, the 3rd generation is out already but only for 32 and 64 gb, which i probably won't get because i would get the 8gb which is still only the 2nd g ipod touch. is it worth getting one now? presently, it's april 2nd 2010, and new ipods come out usually in september..... if anyone knows anything about new ipod releases, please let me know ! i've heard that the next ipod touch would come with a camera, and better graphics, and so on, so i don't want to get one now, then watch a new one come out after 5 months. soooo.... your opinion... ipod nano 5g, for portability and simpleness/cool colors, or the ... ipod touch, for fun and games, and internet...??? please, help me ! i really don't know and i need to tell my parents very very soon. thank you !!!!!!!!!!!!!! ~~ phileeskittleluvvaaamuuch♥♥♥

Lets think logically. Are you really going to use up 5GB? If you are, then get the NANO, because to be honest it is very similar to the touch, it's just not touch screen! It even has video now, and so many other features, it's a brilliant little gadget to have, and you can do so much with it. Don't get the touch if you reckon your going to use more than 2GB, as although it may seem better than the NANO, as it's touchscreen, it may not be worth the money, and you may have to end up deleting files to replace them with new ones! They are both excellent, but also, think of your parents...I think the NANO is cheaper, so, why not save them a bit of money, and ask for that? They may even spend the extra money on something else you like! I have a friend who regrets buying her touch, she is always going on about how great her new NANO is, and that she was stupid to get the touch. Another advantage of getting the NANO is that you can get it in so many different funky colours! I hope you make the right decision! Good Luck! Ellie (:

Yes, OLED screens are more energy efficient and the color and contrast levels are better. The new Zune HD has these screen. According to the apple rumor sites the Ipod touch was suppose to have a camera but do to the lack of camera parts they only did it for the nano. The next ipod touch whether it be in the next few months or a year will most likely have a camera and faster processor and probably an OLED screen.

He is concerned about impressionable young people being exposed to "all kinds of arguments" because it means they will not be indoctrinated as much as he would like them to be. He came right out in the open and basically told people that he doesn't think it is a good idea if they think for themselves or make up their own minds about anything. He thinks that IPods and IPads are far too dangerous for people as long as he does not totally control all of the information that comes through the Internet. LOL. It would have been cool if someone had their IPod hooked up to some big speakers and turned up the Limbaugh theme music for him and everyone to hear. Da da da da da ta da ta...da-da-da.

what a decade it was for 2000's...war, global warming, dying economy, faster internet, cell phones, britney and beyonce, kim kardashian, brangelina, tomkat, spiderman 3, ipods and iphones, minis and smart cars, bush and obama, aig, enron, microsoft v apple, pope john paul iii is out and benedict is in, afghanistan and iraq, pirates in somalia, pirates of the carribean, swine flu, facebook, youtube and let's not forget...yahoo answers!!! but let's ponder on the world's greatest sport in this decade, france and euro 2008, bayern 2001, the finale of the galacticos, brazil's world cup in 2002, beckham sadly a world icon, milan wins shootout, 2004...mourinho to ronaldinho, lucky greece, lucky liverpool, beautiful barcelona, italy campione del mondo 2006, milan get revenge, rise of messi and cronaldo, epl best in 2007-08, oh the drama in moscow... but none of that was comparable to 2008-2009 barcelona!!! yes they are the greatest team of all time. it's the start of the 08-09 la liga, new manager pep guardiola is now in charge. ronaldinho, zambrotta, giovani and deco are gone, but daniel alves and hleb come in. doesn't seem so great from here for barcelona, especially when they lose the first game to numancia and draw the next game vs racing santander. but the cl was different, their first game against sporting lisbon was easy, a 3-1 victory, first of the season. then barcelona destroy sporting gijon 6-1, destroy atletico 6-0, almeria 5-0, basel 5-0, sporting again 5-2, valencia 4-0. it was time to prove themselves vs real madrid, and barcelona wins 2-0, they are on top of la liga, on top of the world. it's 2009 now, they haven't lost a game since numancia until they lose to espanyol. in the round of 16, they face lyon, but after coming from a loss, they only manage for a 1-1 draw, but not as bad because it's an away goal. sadly barcelona lose again to atletico 3-4, but it was still a great match. they beat lyon 4-0 at camp nou, and cruise through bayern 4-0 at camp nou, meanwhile destroying deportivo 5-0 and malaga 6-0. messi is the best in the world since this season started. but here comes trouble, chelsea fc, who stopped the barcelona attack and held them 0-0 at camp nou, putting pressure on barcelona to get away goals. meanwhile, barcelona travel to madrid for el clasico at the santiago bernebeu. though higuain scores first for real madrid, henry and puyol quickly strike back, and for real madrid it's downhill. the final score, 6-2, goals from messi, xavi and pique. it would be barcelona's last win in la liga, but it basically gave barcelona the la liga title for 2008-09, 1/3 trophies were completed. at stamford bridge, it's may 6, essien scores a brilliant volley, chelsea had the lead almost the entire game. but magically (also credit to tom ovrebo), andres iniesta gets the pass from messi and nails it in the top right corner. iniesta and barcelona celebrate at stamford bridge, even with 10 men. no matter what conspiracy "helped" barcelona, iniesta was pure magic, unearthly. after cruising through the copa del rey, barcelona face athletic bilbao at the mestalla in valencia. toquero scores first for bilbao, but after yaya toure makes a brilliant goal, it's all level. messi then lifts barcelona 1 up in the 54th. bojan then hits the nail on the coffin 3 minutes later, 4-1 would be the score, 2/3 trophies for barcelona. it's may 27th, and what a venue to hold the champions league final, barcelona vs manchester united, two of the best teams in the world going at it gladiator style (jk). la liga v epl, messi v cronaldo, super attack v super defence, there's a myth that you can't win a championship by playing beautiful, can barcelona break it? yes they did. after manchester united controlled the first 10 minutes, iniesta gives it to eto'o, he shoots and scores for barcelona, they are 1 up after 10 minutes. the game is still alive, but can barcelona do more? yes they can, xavi curls a cross to messi, in his new electric blue f50i's, and goes airbourne, he heads it to the right corner of the net and barcelona are up by 2, 20 minutes from completing a treble. 20 minutes later, massimo bussacca blows the whistle and barcelona are 3/3, tri-campions. barcelona make history and become the first spanish club to win a treble. can you believe that real madrid never won 3 trophies in one season, even with all the superstars they had. and can you believe that pep guardiola, a new manager, would lead barcelona to so much success? i didn't, but it happened!!! what else is there to prove??? well a lot actually. after eto'o, gudjohnsen, hleb and sylvinho leave, ibrahimovic, maxwell, chygrynsky, and a bunch of youth players (gai, muniesa, jonathan, thiago) come in. barcelona are now in the supercopa against bilbao, and though de marcos gives bilbao the lead before the half, xavi and pedro score, and barcelona win the first leg away 2-1.

A great team definetly, one of the greatest of all time. But the greatest of the greatest? I know being Hexacampeon is a big achievement, but a majority of the teams beaten to win about 3 or 4 of these cups weren't exactly world class. Now if this era of Barca can win 5 consecutive CL's (which Real achieved) then I will admit this Barca is the greatest of all time. Until then I'm not too sure.

Q. Will the iphone ever come to verizon!?! when does the nexus one?
ok so i have been wanting an iphone forever and i recently got an ipod touch and i am blown away by it but i wish i had the all in one phone, the iphone. i really want it but its not an option at all for me to switch to at&t due to family plans and business. i have heard so many rumors that it was coming in 2010 or 2011 but i also heard that the iphone is specially for at&t so they would have to create a new one for verizon. i heard that the are doing something very similar and adding a key board to the phone and then being sold by verizon but im sure this is false. i have tried to the blackberry storm, voyager and at the moment i have the env touch but its just not the same. i like how to iphone has apps and such an easy layout where as to the env touch is extremely bulky and doesnt have amazing touch features. i just like all touch not really any call/end/clr keys like the blackberry storm. i have heard the nexus one is great but in my opinion its not like the iphone to me because i love apple and i am so used to it. i really love the funny entertaining apps of the iphone that are useless but so fun and im not sure nexus one has any of those. i also like itunes and ipods so to have that on an iphone would be amazing and i dont know if the nexus one has that. feel free to correct me if im wrong. i have heard verizon turned down the nexus one. i dont understand why verizon would turn it down because its already so popular and it would be great for them. if it does come out for verizon will it be out before maybe the end of the summer? same goes for iphone? do you know any specific dates? please answer!

iphone is not going to come out for VZ or any other carrier any time soon... yes, they would need to make a new version of the iphone to work with verizon, since verizon is a CDMA carrier, and the iphone is a GSM phone... the nexus one is currently a GSM phone, but they are working on creating a CDMA version of the phone for verizon and other CDMA carriers.. no firm date has yet been set or announced on when it will be available.. as for the iphone, i do not know why anyone would want one... all it does is drop calls... i can not carry on a conversation with my brother with out his iphone dropping the call like 4 or 5 times...

I really don't know what's up with the extremely virulent response to this quote myself. At the end of the day, he's not saying anything that's even slightly untrue. More importantly, he's not saying that people should not buy these things, but rather what they actually are. Obama isn't saying that people should not buy these things, he's saying that the opportunity costs of buying these things is a heavy burden. People should consider that when they spend hundreds of dollars on a new piece of technology. People should realize that these are merely an escape from the world and not a method to better it.
