The next version of itouch 4g is is expected to be coming out in September 2010 just like most of Apple products come out in September each year . This new itouch is worth waiting for if it has a camera with it as well. If the itouch 4g is not released with a camera, then one might as well buy the older version 3G as it will be cheaper than the 4g one. Sam Winterberg

I still have my 1st generation that is at the end of its line... The longest I'm waiting til is mid april. The one rumor that annoys me is that the camera will be the same as in the nano, only able to shoot video! I do however, think that that is just bs, since any app developer can come out with an application to take stills, so apple might as well incorporate that into the ipod and definitely sell more. If they add a camera and FM radio the ipod will basically kill any competition, and it will become the everything-in-one gadget, and i honestly don't think other developers will allow for that. Hope I'm wrong though. Hopefully we will get a camera, radio, and more memory (they seriously need to do away with the 8gb models) by early to mid spring.

that is when i am going to pursue a degree in electrical and computer engineering. i know it's a long time but i figured i'd ask because i am always looking at specs anyway. the tx2 seems very solid but will something better come out in almost a year? also if the apple tablet isn't just a huge itouch i'll look into that or even a mac pro. some insight will be appreciated because i am having trouble finding information on the web

I don't know about the TX3, but the TX2 is already a solid product. The apple table is big no if you are planning to use it for school, unless you don't need the pen. The Microsoft Courier is a better bet for that, but both product are still under the curtains and any definite information about them is still not available from both companies. The TX2 is already available in most countries, and if it still isn't available for your country, expect it to be there before this year ends.

I got a 3g for Christmas. I love that thing. Usually they do their new releases in September so if you want to wait then fine, but otherwise just get the 3g! Why the hell does everyone need a camera on everything anyway. I have a digital camera and one on my cell phone I don't need one on my ipod too! As for reasons I like it well....it's basically like a mini computer I can take anywhere. You can do anything with it. I'm a person who likes to fiddle with something if I'm just sitting and it's the perfect thing. There are a ton of free apps and although they can get boring there's always new ones. I was always against ipod...I thought they were overrated and too expensive, but I'm super happy with my touch.

No, they're not the same thing. iTouch is a type of SD card used to modify a Nintendo DSi; iPod Touch is an Apple-brand MP3/MP4 player. iPods only come with a 1-year warrantee if you spend an extra $100 on it, and they don't give you a refund whenever you want. If your iPod breaks due to a hardware failure (meaning not your fault), the warrantee will allow you to have it replaced. That said, I, personally, would just get an older Nano - a 3rd or 4th gen. The video camera is 0.3 MP, and can't take still images. There's not much better about the 5G, especially if you're having it replaced in under a year. Where did you get the idea they were releasing an iPod Touch with camera next September?

yeah I'm on my iphone I make some is too. Hiphop never left it was just a time when the quality of music was low ( songs like "you're a jerk & crank dat). But this was a good year.
