jailbreaking your ipod touch is completely safe. but if you turn off a jailbroken ipod touch 3g, you wont be able to turn it on till you login to your itunes again. that's its disadvantage. to get the jailbreaking instruction, go search in youtube.

i have a brand new itouch. bought it last week form best buy, 32gb. my friend tried to hack two touches. mine and an 8gb which is also 2nd gen but a lil older. the 8gb got hacked but mine wouldn't. when he tried putting on cidia it goes to a black screen with a cord and an itunes logo. we reset the ipod to its original form, tried again, and some thing happened. does anyone know how to hack the newest ipod?
